Be it in any language, fillers just can't be done away with. These fillers are so full of meaning that they would even put the most meaningful words to shame. Ha-ha! And the most widely used filler in Axom is 'Heri'. So, without delaying a second, let's pay a grand tribute to this indispensable filler we have been using for way too long now.
Most familiar sentence. Yeah, maa'e deuta'k maate, aru ki?
And you'll scratch your head and wonder ki ba hol when someone says this to you.
Jetia mukhot naam tu nufute. LOL.
When you don't know exactly kar jiyek'or putek'or biya.
Ki kinili? Ghori? nohoy nohoy, pen eta kinilu.*facepalm*
Be prepared. It can be anything. Try to understand the tune.
Kun ba xei mohapurux?
Well, ahem! Most of the times, it needs no explanation.
I am a voracious user of the word 'heri'. And there are many people I know who use this word very often. Remember the character Runi from Xanto-xisto-hristo-pusto-mohadusto? Even she had this habit of saying heri every now and then.
If heri irritates at times, it also sounds cool sometimes. And when heri interrupts you too often, take a break and have a heri - mane Kitkat!Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google Plus Share on Whatsapp
