Name a person who loves and cares about you more than your parents. Well, there's nobody right?
The thing is we all have to accept that no one can take our maa-deuta's place...like EVER! And just so that we don't land into their version of 'trouble', they have their set of advices ready for us for every step of our life.
Here's a list of nine such sentences that we all have heard from them.
1. ARU EGORA KHAI LO:
Yes, even when we said we were full, Maa would still feed us a little more
2. MATRIC TU BHAL KOR, ARU NALAGE EKU:
Well, this never actually happens. Because after Class X boards, they will speak of Class XI boards and so on and so forth.
3. AAMAR EE JE OLOPU NOPOHE:
No matter how much midnight oil we burn, around other people our parents just turn a blind eye to all of that.
4. KHELIBO JA SUN, PITHI FAALIM:
And we are 'challenge accepted' !
5. LOGOT ARU KUN JABO? :
This question killed a lot of plans ‘cause after you tell their names, they always reply “nohobo, tar logot nuaro jabo”.
6. RASTAT KUNUBAI KIBA DILE NAKHABI:
Self defence at the grass root level. This they say everytime we were going out somewhere alone.
7. TUR LOGOR AAMUKOK DEKHISO NE, KIMAN BHAL HOI HI:
From hairstyle to studies, this 'aamuk' would always win the battle.
8. MAAINA DORJA KHON LOGAI THOBA ARU OSINAAKI HOLE KHULI NIDIBA!:
Another self defence technique.
9. OKOLE ULAI NAJABA, HUPADHORAI DHORIBO:
This is the most dangerous of them all. Hupadhora was an imaginary character incepted into our brains by our parents and this lie was a proper example of how your imagination could become your greatest nightmare sometimes.
But whatever our parents said, it was because they loved and cared for us. And no matter how irritated and cranky we behave, they would still keep saying so.
Kudos to all those parents who raised rebels like us.
